I know that when MW2 was released, I was stoked for it....but definately not through with COD4 becuse I had just picked it up.
But relative to April 2010, I was still pretty pumped about MW2. No exploits, no OMA yet, 1337 quickscopers hadn't carved a niche yet, and camping hadn't reached the peak of it's douchiness. I was still only 2nd prestige or so, and still thinking I'd go to 10th. This was probably where MW2 peaked for me.
I played solo a lot, and I hadn't really gotten to know any of you guys yet...and "the boards" was still a good place to network and BS.
With Black Ops, I do find the maps fun and of manageable size, the lack of exploits enjoyable and the flow to be predictable like COD4. I went on hiatus early in my 10th prestige, on track to be 15th by June. I realized that HQ and Dom are super fun, and finally figured out the flow of HQ.
My interest in the game is still very high....higher now than it probably was with MW2, but my interest in actually playing is the lowest it's ever been since I started gaming.
I find that COD4 is a 10 for me still. I went back to it and still love it.
Black Ops would be around an 8, but it's unplayable. If it weren't for you all, I'd have sold it and gone back to COD4 exclusively.
MW2 is like, a 1. No interest whatsoever. Camping killstreak / kdr whores, quickscoping dbags, maps the size of Canada, OMA tubers....game is dead to me.
