Every time I watch this I see something new. This time I saw that your target acquisition based on threat is very good.
I watch the video and look for different things as well. For instance, I see where at the beginning I go for that fucker headglitching with the lmg even though I know he has position. I did that for three reasons:
1) To remove him from his advantageous position.
2) Because I made an educated guess that my aim was better than his and he was likely just spamming his lmg like a bitch......I was right.
3) He pissed me off and I LOVE me some revenge kills (he was lying prone behind a container like a fheg and killed me earlier).
As it turned out I ended up killing that lmg guy at least 5 times in a row (which made me quite happy).
Thanks for the compliment wrt target acquisition. I sometimes consciously try to acquire targets based on threat level. Other times I do it by instinct. Off the top of my head I remember when I had the back of that guy spamming the auto sniper on the JBD's and I go to shoot him then another guy runs around the corner and I take my aim off the sniper and kill the other guy as fast as I can. That was just a reaction. My brain pretty quickly realized the guy rounding the corner as a much higher threat than the the sniper who's back was to me. So I killed the guy rounding the corner then still had the sniper as an easy kill.
There are times when my brain doesn't work this way and I get myself killed. I made some good decisions in this game. I was fortunate and most of my questionable decisions just happened to work out for me.
I was using a class that I had created only because I was playing some dom with some friends online. I usually don't equip FJ on any classes save one (for when bks are tubing). FJ saved me at least twice from what I can remember. I just happened to have it on that class. I run ghost on most classes.
Another time I was calling in an emp and didn't notice how close an enemy was to me but he ran down the hall to my left and didn't see me. If he had takin a left instead of goin straight I woulda been easy pickings. Just luck there. I called in the emp and then made a u-turn and ran up the stairs and shot him in the back.
Having games like this imo isn't all skill. It takes a bit of luck as well.
EDIT: I do have a question though. Do you normally do as well against other enemies as skilled as you? I ask because I noticed nobody in that lobby on the opposing team has double digit scores. This also I guess could be attributed to if you played with a party of people you regularly play with and knew each others play style.
I normally do well against most people. The thing is that my spm is only 355 or so. It's like that because it usually takes me a bit of time to get used to new maps/games as I just run around like an idiot searching different parts of the maps and not being careful. Also I don't like playing methodically (headglitching, checking every corner etc) when I play as that gets boring to me so I often have worse games than I should.
On top of these things the connection is terrible for me most the time (not in this game of course) so when I try to gold guns (pistols for example) it takes me a shitload of kills to get the medals I need. I think we can all agree that using an Executioner while most people are using smgs (they can spray you quite easily esp in tc, or AR's where they usually have a distinct advantage at distance makes traversing a map quite difficult at times.
All of these things grant me a lower than normal spm imo. This leads to me playing people who are not usually as good as me (not saying I'm great by any means) so when I don't **** around with an Executioner/57/tac45 and I play a little more cautiously I usually will top a lobby.
I did quite well for many reasons:
-I was pissed as two of the three things I really hate happened within the first minute or so (guy spamming his lmg like a scrub, bk spamming his auto sniper [there should never be auto snipers, bolt actions only imo]) and I died to both. As a consequence I played more methodically as I wanted to shit on them.
-I just happened to have a class with FJ on which saved me a couple of times.
-I just happened to be using scorestreaks that while they did net me some kills (20-30 from the choppers) also kept me knowing where the enemy was (vsat) and kept the enemy from knowing where I was (emp) at the same time. This combo got me 50+ gun kills.
-The kids in the lobby were likely not that skilled and made decisions that were to my benefit.
-The decisions I made were good enough to put me into positions where my aim and reflexes got me kills.
Just my take on the game.
